Dexter Gondongwe - First Team Manager
Mike Sheridan - Assistant Manager
Shane Maxey - First Team Coach
Brian Knight - Goalkeeper Coach

As we welcome Dexter, Mike, Shane and Brian, we would like to wish them the very best of luck in their new roles.

Chairman Scott Lindsey says, “Here at Lydd Town we are glad to give Dexter this opportunity and hope he brings success back to this football club. Dexter is an extremely nice assest to Lydd Town and is not afraid to give youth a chance. We see the love that he has for the club and are excited to see what he can do”.

Dexter was previously the First Team coach at Lydd Town, whilst he was also serving as the Under-23s manager. Over the years, Dexter has become a fan's regular favourite at The Lindsey Field.

After Dexter was announced as First Team Manager, he made a really nice touch on (X) to previous Lydd Town Manager Mickey Doyle. “Could not have got this far without @MickeyDoyle04 giving me the chance, forever grateful”

Along with a nice touch to Ryan Smith, Dexter mentioned “And special to @ryan_smithbg4 for always believing in me, and championing me whenever possible!”

Dexter also stated how he looks forward to working with Assistant Manager Mike Sheridan. “Now I get to work with my very good mate every Saturday again @michael28069475” Mike has huge experience as he was previously the Hawkinge Town FC Manager.

Shane Maxey First Team Coach commented on a post through Lydd Town’s Facebook Page stating that the First Team have been having some positive training sessions and said “I believe we have done what we can in the short period that we have had. For the fans, it’s a new beginning for Lydd Town. It’s exciting as all players have done what we asked, let’s go”

Brian Knight (previous Reserves Manager) says, “I’m really enjoying being in and around the first team, the prospect and potential of the team that Dexter is building is exciting, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the upcoming season brings.”

As we appreciate the support, the club will now aim to communicate the best that we can with the fans; therefore, topics such as team news and chances to sponsor will be coming soon. We look forward to seeing you all back at The Lindsey Field for the 25/26 season where we will be playing in the SCEFL Div 1.
