Lorne MacLennan Joins the Lydd Town Ladies Coaching Team
Lydd Town Ladies have strengthened their coaching setup ahead of the upcoming season with the addition of experienced coach Lorne MacLennan.
Lorne will join Andy Lane and Tom Stone as part of the management team as preparations begin for the new campaign.
Bringing experience from both the men’s and women’s game, Lorne adds valuable knowledge and coaching expertise to the squad as the club looks to build on last season’s progress.
Andy Lane on the Appointment
Andy Lane welcomed the addition of Lorne to the coaching staff and spoke positively about finally having the opportunity to work together.
“I’ve known Lorne for a number of years and coached against him on numerous occasions. I know how passionate he is about his coaching and he will be a fantastic asset to the squad as we look to build on last season.
We’ve talked about coaching together for a while, but the timing wasn’t right for one reason or another. But I’m very happy he’s now been able to join us and look forward to pre-season.”
Lorne Looking Forward to Getting Started
Lorne also shared his excitement about joining the club ahead of the new season.
“I’m glad to take this opportunity to work with Andy, Tom and the squad, as it is something we have talked about often. Now we have the chance to do so and I can’t wait to get started.”
