To all Lydd fans,
Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you for your support last season. The results were nowhere near the standard you deserve and well below what I set out for the team. Myself and the board always knew last year was going to be turbulent, with a lot of changes to the squad, and ultimately it became a rebuilding year for us. Through all of that, you still turned up in your numbers and supported us, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
A special mention must go to the family members and supporters who travelled to every game, home and away, and especially those who made the long trip to Chessington & Hook. Your voices were heard all season and they pushed the boys on every single week.
Now, looking to the future, I will continue striving for better results and performances. I want this side competing at the top end of the league again, like in years gone by. I believe in this group of players and I know they will repay your faith.
Yes, there will be a few movements in and out of the squad, but every decision will be made with one purpose — improving the team. We are still a Step 6 side, but we will continue working to become the best team we possibly can be, and that can only happen with your continued support.
Next season will be tough, but I have every belief that together, with your backing, we can achieve our goals.
Thank you again for your incredible support.
