The Ladies made the trip to Canterbury, looking to build on last week’s win.
It took Lydd a while to get going and the passing wasn’t clicking.
Once it did then they put some really good passing moves together.
One such move saw Marshall cut in down the left and put a low cross in for Williams to finish at the near post.
Lydd frustrated the hosts with a good defensive line.
A couple of changes were made, but Lydd continued to pass the ball well.
A lovely move through the team saw Ahmed go through 1v1 with keeper and she finished to put Lydd up 2-0.
That was how the first half finished.
Second half carried on from the first , but Eagles were starting to get a few chances themselves.
But Harris was equal to them.
Lydd got a free kick on the edge of the box.
Colledge stepped up and smashed her free kick in off the crossbar (which I think is still shaking).
3-0 and looking comfortable.
Lydd were then reduced to ten with twenty still to play.
Canterbury got a goal back with ten to play, but Lydd saw the game out to make it two wins out of two.
Andy Lane
A good solid performance today especially with the ball. Some great passages of play.
We also defend well and even with ten we limited the hosts to a few chances which Mia was equal to.
Canterbury got a goal back which their effort probably deserved.
All played well today and there were a few who could have got player of the match. But that goes to stand in captain, Hannah who had an outstanding game in midfield and covered a huge amount of ground.
Onto next week as we travel to Hawkinge in the Kent fa plate.
