We didn’t deserve to lose. The lads battled for the full 90 minutes, gave everything they had and showed exactly what this team is about. We created chances, played some really good football and, on another day, we probably walk away with the three points.

The biggest disappointment is that we didn’t take our chances when they came. Football can be brutal like that. When you don’t put the ball in the net, you leave yourself vulnerable, and unfortunately that’s what happened tonight.

But despite the result, I’m incredibly proud of the performance. The attitude, effort, togetherness and desire from the first minute to the last were outstanding.

There is plenty for us to take from tonight. We keep working, keep improving and make sure we learn from the moments that cost us.

The result hurts, but the performance gives us plenty to be proud of.
